A Fábrica da Luz It is located in the Mao River Canyon, in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra. Surrounded by chestnut trees, oak trees, ash trees, cork oaks, hazel trees, vineyards... A wonderful setting where you can rest, carry out active tourism activities and enjoy the natural and historical heritage of the area. The facilities are next to the Mao River, one of the main tributaries of the Sil, which flows down from the Sierra de San Mamede and runs through small waterfalls and narrow passages, creating small pools where you can enjoy a swim. It is also a perfect river to enjoy sport fishing, without death, in the entire section that is in our environment.
Since A Fábrica da Luz The Mao River Footbridge Route starts, a short but spectacular route. A work by the landscape architect, Isabel Aguirre, which runs along an impressive wooden walkway that will take you to the mouth of the Sil River.
